Today you will be venturing to the Sunshine Village, where you will spend the morning exploring the impressive mountain terrain on a guided tour followed by your first session of coaching in the afternoon to get those legs working and start your powder riding progression.
After breaking in your legs at Sunshine Village we will step up and head to Lake Louise for the day. Our coaching staff will give you another tour of this resort followed by a coaching session to help get you into some steeper freeride terrain.
DAY 3 - KICKING HORSE
After a few coaching sessions in the Banff area you will be ready to tackle the terrain at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. This resort boast only 3 lifts but they bring you to a ridiculous amount of epic terrain and a short hike at the top will give you some of the best terrain you might even ride. Its pretty steep here but luckily our coaching team will be with you the whole time to keep you out of trouble. At the end of the day of riding we pack up and head down the road to Revelstoke, BC.
DAY 4 - REVELSTOKE
Stretch those legs as today we are going to be riding at Revelstoke! They boast 40-60 feet of snow a season and have North America's highest vertical drop of any ski resort. Be prepared for some steep and deep tree riding. We will then head out in the evening to bring in the New Year's in true Canadian style!
DAY 5 - REVELSTOKE
You definitely deserve a lie in and a greasy breakfast. Once you've tried Canada's hangover cure, a Caesar, your probably ready for a relaxed afternoon of cruising around Revelstoke again, and feeling the wind in your hair! If your really not up to it we have the option to go check out some hot springs for the day.
DAY 6 - CAT SKI DAY REVELSTOKE
Head deep into the backcountry of BC to fine some legendary lines and epic snow, this is probably going to be one of the best ski days of your life!
DAY 7 - LAKE LOUISE
Let's finish where we started and have another epic day of riding tree lines and steep powder faces in beautiful Lake Louise. We will head out for a last group meal all together in Banff town and reminisce on all the good times of the week!
DAY 8 - DEPARTURES
Pack up your gear for your flight home, we will drop you back at Calgary airport for your flight back to the real world. Alternatively, stay on in Banff and enjoy some more skiing!
There will be 5 skiers in a group with 1 instructor and you'll be road trippin' with 5 snowboaders and their instructor too.
No, you can hire your skis and boots from Banff on the first day and return it before you fly home. Basecampers receive a 10% discount in town.
The course is instructor lead so you will be guided throughout however to make the most of this epic terrain we recommend the trip for confident riders who are happy to ski on all terrain. A Level 3 or above on our ability scale would be ideal.
When you're not in Banff you'll be staying in private chalets
The Ptarmigan Inn, a 3 star hotel located in the centre of Banff. The hotel is right on Banff Avenue, just a 5 minute walk from all the action. The rooms are twin share but you'll have a spacious queen size bed to recover in and a hot tub / sauna to rest your legs.
