New Arrivals Lindsay and Becky hit town today…we love when new people come and join our Basecamp crew! Linsday has arrived 2 weeks early for her 4 week Performance camp and Becky is just here for 2 weeks to check out the snow and have fun!

12 PUBS of Christmas….The festive spirit was certainly out in abundance today, with Santa hats, Elves and tacky Xmas jumpers galore we went on mass to spread our Christmas cheer throughout the village…I’d just like to say we did it, we did get a little sluggish and slow at the end but the majority of us made it through all the 12 pubs on schedule. .. and a few of us were seen holding the bar up in Maxx Fish later on in the night!

Hungover big time!…
Although we still managed to make it out later that night to Tommy Africa’s for the Whistler Exposed Catwalk…the boys couldn’t wait to see the Calendar Girls on the catwalk. All this is done to raise money for Charity so we were drinking for a good cause!

Xmas Eve
Last minute Christmas shopping for those Secret Santa presents by everyone today.
Brendon, Andrew, Sam, Mitch, Cassie and James all headed into Moe Joe’s for some Christmas Eve dancing….apparently Brendon and Andrew came back to the house focused ready to make the Pavlova ready for Christmas day. Cassie was on watch to make sure it didn’t burn in the oven, in case Brendon and Andrew passed out mid cook! Mike was heard staggering in around 4am after a night out and small children throwing snowballs at him earlier in the evening. I would have thrown a snowball at you as well!

XMAS DAY…
It was a slow start to the day for some, while they were speaking to family and opening presents, others decided to make the most of the 44cm dump over night, insane snow, and head up for Fresh Tracks.
Alot of the crew managed to make it to Seppo’s bar at The Roundhouse for 11am to have a celebratory Merry Xmas drink with everyone, then a few laps and more Merry brewski’s were on the cards.

Later in the afternoon, The Blueberry household went over to the Nicklaus North house for a Christmas dinner extravaganza, …everyone helped with the cooking while Stuart did the carving of the huge Turkey they had bought, no one was going hungry tonight that was for sure! The crew had a great night with the Secret Santa presents being given out… there were some interesting presents opened…how did Santa know what Mike wanted!

Today Jin left us after spending a full on 10 days here with us! She even managed to spend time in at The Core at the climbing wall after skiing. Amazing time!
Welcome however to Jon, Chris and Carolyn who are joining us for the rest of the season YAY! Get your ski’s and board’s on people!

Ben leaves our Basecamp nest today…bye bye…everyone in NN will miss your cooking….but we had Lewis Herbert arriving in his place early for his 11 week course..ready for the New Years Eve celebrations.

There were many pre-drinks happening at Blueberry today and quite a bit of chaos even before they left the house…some people only just made it to the Fire Rock Lounge to welcome the New Year in…Chris went all over town looking for his jumper only to find it later on when he got back to the house, Syd was just so happy, you know I’m French…Pei was really giving the new year a big welcoming and there was a lot of dancing happening with Amy and Neil carving up the dancefloor.

What a great end to 2010 with December being marked as the 3rd snowiest December on record for Whistler Blackcomb with 363cm’s of snow!
Bye Bye to Pei, awesome having you stay with us…I think it’s a miracle you made your transfer on time and I hope your hangover wasn’t too bad today! Very sad to see you go!
