The British Association of Snowsport Instructors (BASI) is the UK training and grading provider for snow sports instructing and is a member of the ISIA (International Ski Instructors Alliance). The ISIA organisation aims to provide an equal balance and quality between the different international governing bodies around the world. BASI is well recognised within the ISIA due to the high level of techinque, skill and understanding of the teaching theory required to qualify as a snow sport instructor.
Basecamp were the first organisation to run BASI Ski Instructor Courses and BASI Snowboard Instructor Courses (now widely referred to as BASI GAP courses) in Europe back in 2002. Pioneering the market, and speaking volumes for how we are perceived in the industry today.
