And so it comes to an end, Week 10 in Meribel

And so it all comes to an end but not without a hell of a last week.

Week 10 was the second week of the BASI 2 Exam and thus everyone was working really hard all week with plenty of nerves, finally by Friday afternoon the trials and tribulations had come to an end with a 70% pass rate of really well done everyone. As quite a number of people have stayed on we followed this up with a Introduction to Level 3 Lesson which was well received and quite competitive.

The Performance Skiers had a great last week concentrating on there Piste Skiing and some excellent terrain in the 3 Valleys. The week culminated in an introduction to Ski Touring which took the group to the top of the Point de Borgne and despite some trying sections everyone made it in style. Thanks Piere Francois for taking the groups to this wonderful place.

So to finish the week we had a wonderful BBQ, unfortunatly we don’t have any pictures due to the author entering a Jedi Dual BBQ Zen State and forgetting everything else but this and the evening that followed were a great last night for many Basecampers. Luckily quite a number of people were able to stay on in one form or another and we hope to see everyone who has taken part in Basecamp Meribel again in the mountains.
