Restaurants in Val d'Isere
Whilst on a Basecamp ski instructor, snowboard instructor, or performance course in Val d'Isere you have food included 5 days a week.
Breakfast – Is delivered to your apartment door Monday to Friday. Each person has a bagautte, crossiants, pain au chocolat, organge juice, spreads and fruit. The bagautte can be doubled up as lunch on the mountain accompanied with fillers bought from the local supermarket.
Dinner – Dinner is included 5 times a week, however is valid 7 days a week. Basecampers have a selection of 5 restaurants to choose from in Val d'Isere where the food vouchers are valid. There is a good selection of food available to allow you a variation of food throughout the season. A description of each restaurant can be found below:
Iseran Traiteur – An Organic Delicatessen
Also know as the 'deli' around town, Iseran offers a large slection of organic home made food that can be taken away and heated up back at the Basecamp apartments. A typical dish from Iseran Traiteur is a meat/fish of the day with a side of vegatables, tartiflette or salad. It's a healthy option and goes down very well after a long day on the mountain.
The Fat Frog – Val d'Isere's Only Sushi Restaurant
New in the 2012/13 season, the fat frog has become a very popular food venue in Val. The chef is a Kiwi, and has a michenlin star background. The frog serves sushi, curries, wraps, miso soup as well as a wide variation of Asian cuisine. With a Basecamp food voucher you can have either the chicken curry or spare ribs. Pay an exrta few euros for a sushi platter or the duck. Sushi comes served on skateboard decks at the frog and with the accommpaying bar V Spot it couldn't be better located.
Pizz 'n' Love – Val d'Isere's finest take away pizza…
Is located on the way up to Le Fornet. The restaurant makes the best pizza's in town. Basecampers can enjoy ordering from home in exchange for a food vocuher upon delivery. It's a perfect option for those wishing to chill in front of a movie at home after a powder filled day!
4 Seasons – Food, drinks and pool
Located at the top of town, 4 seasons boasts a varied menu, with anything from curries, to salads, to spicy wraps. It's the perfect place to stop off after apres, or to collect as a take away. Basecampers have a choice of anything on the menu and the service is quick. With a bar and pool tables it's a great place to come and relax and exchange snow filled stories.
Val Pizza – Eat in and watch ski and snowboard films!
Located at bottom end of town, Val Pizza is a short walk from the Basecamp apartments. Enjoy a home cooked pizza infront of a ski or snowboard film before stopping at the next door bar Abra for a discounted Basecamp special cocktail or beer.
