Whistler 2011 Week 3

Rest day today so no on hill training, but some just can’t seem to rest with it dumping down outside …they were up and out there early for first lifts to get the fresh pow.  On the other hand some were nursing their hangovers (RM included) and could only make their way to BBQ Bob’s in Creekside for nourishment in the daytime, those Pulled Pork sandwiches defo hit the spot!

New start to teaching this week and we are mixing it up with training starting on Sunday.

Après was held at The Chophouse today and everyone was broken into new groups for the week to mix it up a bit! We later rolled into Citta’s for a quiet drink which turned into an extended session for some, Mike & Luke, do you even remember where you ended up?

Mon 29 Nov

Day off for the boarders today, the powder that we have been blessed with day after day has finally taken it’s toll on their legs and they are making full use of the comfy couch and TV.

Skiers worked on more stance and balance today and were seen making their way down the slopes stork like…yes I was watching from the chair!  Good to see you have had a haircut Richard, no more twitching flicks of the head! Looking good!

More of the fresh POW POW…

31cm’s overnight !!! Don’t you just wish you were here right now!! This is an amazing start to the season for Whistler with more than average snow for November kicking in. It did take me and hour and a half to dig myself out of the driveway this morning, however it was totally worth it to spend an epic day on the hill. For those of you who are planning on heading out our way, get your excita pants on!!

It's snowing in the Village!!

Skiers had a day off today – but I’m sure they were up their killing it and not resting at all! Can’t wait for the stories of your face shots.

Snowboarders did have on hill training today, but I’m sure it was all involving those powder fields and great tree runs!!!

Tonight featured some amazing cooking by Sean at the Blueberry property and Couz and I were lucky to be invited over for dinner (happy RM). We then ventured into town and I introduce the Campers to the Fire Rock Bar for a quiet drink, then moved onto the Crystal Lounge for another stab at Karaoke…
